Processing time for foreign currency third party payments
If you are paying from your Foreign Currency Account to a third party's account in the same foreign currency, you will need to complete and submit a Payment Request Form to provide these instructions to us. The Foreign Currency Account Payment Request Form can be found on our Forms and Brochures webpage here.
We must receive your instruction via the Foreign Currency Account Payment Request Form the business day before you need us to process your payment. This ensures that your payment can be processed on the next business day and accommodates foreign currency conversion cut-off times. The recipient should receive the funds into their account within 3 business days.*
*Payments may be delayed because of circumstances outside of Rabobank’s control or due to additional screening and processes (e.g. payments to first-time payees). Foreign Currency Account Terms and Conditions apply – see here for more information.
Processing time when converting your funds between foreign currencies and New Zealand Dollars
Every Foreign Currency Account will have a linked Nominated Account in New Zealand Dollars. If you want to convert funds from a foreign currency into New Zealand Dollars or from New Zealand Dollars into a foreign currency, you can request this directly by calling Client Services on 0800 500 933 the business day before the funds need to be converted. Alternatively, you can send us a secure message after logging in to internet banking. However, please note that secure messages have a minimum two-business-day response time. As a result, these types of requests cannot be guaranteed to be processed the next business day. Once processed, the funds should appear in your account on the same day.
