As a cooperative Rabobank has a rich history of community engagement and now, thanks to the Rabo Community Fund, we can make an even bigger impact across rural communities. With the aim of tangibly and meaningfully contributing to the vibrancy and resilience of rural New Zealand, the Rabo Community Fund will be used to support local grassroots initiatives, identified by our clients in the heart of the community.
Our network of Rabo Client Councils are our eyes and ears in the community. With a vision of owning the food and agribusiness space in New Zealand, the Rabo Client Councils play a vitally important role in both helping the bank to identify and address the concerns of New Zealand’s regional communities and in ensuring that its strategy, products and services remain relevant to its client’s needs.
This fund is not intended as a grants program, but is there to address the wider challenges in agriculture at a local level, such as building industry capacity, addressing labour and skills shortages and helping rural communities transition to the future of farming.
