Competition Summary

Rabobank New Zealand Limited (“Rabobank”) is putting the call out to snappers of all ages and abilities to submit their photographs of life on the land. Enter for the opportunity to feature in our 2024 Rabobank Rural Calendar (“Competition”). To enter, send a photograph of your favourite moment on farm; something that reminds you why you love what you do. Whether it’s life on the farm, rural kids, the changing colours of a new season, your rural community or farm animals. Whatever your reason, we want to see it.

12 winners’ photographs will be selected to appear in the 2024 Rabobank Rural Calendar, with their winning photo and name/farm name. Each of the 12 winners will receive four copies of the 2024 Rabobank Area Calendar and a Rabobank prize pack valued at $50.

How to Enter

1. Participation in the Competition is easy. Submit as many photographs as you like by emailing centraldistrictswairarapa@rabobank.com with your name, farm name (if applicable) and contact telephone number.

2. The Competition begins on 24 July 2023 and ends at 11.59pm on 27 August 2023 (“Competition Period”).

3. You can submit a JPEG image and it must not exceed 10 MB. Ideally, images will be high resolution, landscape orientation photographs, that will print a crisp image when printed the size of an A4 page. A photograph that is 2 MB or above is preferred.

4. All participants must be eligible to enter the Competition, as set out in the ‘Terms and Conditions of Entry’ below.

5. Submission of a photograph is deemed acceptance of the full terms and conditions below.

Terms and Conditions of Entry

Please read our terms and conditions before submitting a photograph, to make sure you are eligible to submit a photograph and meet the criteria for entering the Competition.

Submissions

1. All photographs must be submitted via email to centraldistrictswairarapa@rabobank.com with your name, farm name (if applicable) and contact number. There is no limit to the number of photographs submitted per person.

2. It is the photographer’s responsibility to obtain consent from all photographed persons and owners of recognisable photographed property prior to being photographed, including consent to these terms and photographs submitted to the Competition.

3. The photographer gives permission for all photographs submitted to Rabobank to be used by Rabobank and grants an irrevocable royalty-free licence to Rabobank to store all photographs submitted, use all photographs free of charge in any of Rabobank’s online and print publications for an indefinite period. The photographer will be acknowledged by Rabobank where practicable.

4. The photographer gives permission for all photographs submitted to Rabobank to be edited (if necessary) to meet Rabobank’s design guidelines.

Criteria for Entry

5. All photographs submitted between 24 July 2023 and 11.59pm on 13 August 2023 will be eligible for the Competition.

6. Up to 12 winners will be selected. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Photographs selected must be of a size and quality that produces a high-quality print at A4 size –minimum 2MB.

8. Winners must, within fourteen days of being contacted by Rabobank, complete the supplied consent form including:

• Consent from all photographed persons; and/or.
• Consent from the parent/guardian for any photographed person under the age of 18; and/or
• Consent from the property owner for recognisable photographed property (excluding aerial views, extreme close ups, own property or public property).

9. If a winner does not provide evidence of consent upon request by Rabobank for photographed persons or property, the photograph will be ineligible for the prize. Rabobank reserves the right to establish whether proof of consent is required.

Prizes

10. The 12 winners will each receive a placement of their winning photo within the 2024 Rabobank Rural Calendar, and will also receive four copies of the 2024 Rabobank Area Calendar and a Rabobank prize pack valued at $50.

11. Winners will be notified by telephone. Inability to contact a winner within fourteen days of selection will result in the prize being forfeited and an alternative submission will be selected to receive the prize and be included in the 2024 Rabobank Rural Calendar.

12. The prize is not exchangeable or transferable.

13. The prize will only be delivered in New Zealand. The winner should allow 28 days from notification for delivery.

General

14. The promoter of the Competition is Rabobank New Zealand Limited, 32 Hood Street, Hamilton.

15. The Competition is open to:

• Rabobank clients, 
• Participants of any age. However, participants under the age of 18 must have the consent of their parent/guardian to enter this Competition and to agree to its Terms and Conditions.

16. Employees and contractors, and their immediate families, of Rabobank, its associated companies and advertising agencies are ineligible to submit photographs to the Competition.

17. Each participant consents to the personal information given being disclosed to companies related to Rabobank, and being used in the running of this Competition and for marketing purposes by Rabobank (including marketing by electronic means). Rabobank may be contacted on 0800 500 933 if an entrant wishes to gain access to or correct their personal information or to opt-out of their personal information being used for marketing purposes.

18. Submitters to the Competition and winners consent to their name and farm name (if applicable) being used for public relations purposes relating to this promotion in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration.

19. The winners agree to be available for any publicity via social and digital media with Rabobank.

20. Rabobank is not responsible for photographs that are undeliverable due to a fault or delay in any electronic transmission.

21. If participants fail to adequately submit a photograph with the required details set out under ‘How to Enter’, that photograph will not be accepted into the Competition.

22. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Rabobank and its suppliers exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the submission of photos, the Competition or any prizes.

23. If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of Rabobank, the Competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, Rabobank reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or terminate the Competition, including the prizes.
